Lynchburg, Va., June 1, 2009 – TRAX International announced today the consolidation and relocation of three of its area subsidiaries as part of its strategic growth program.

“This is a great step forward for the corporation as we finally have all of our Lynchburg operations under one roof.  TRAX is poised for significant growth, and our move to this new building will make it that much easier.” said Greg Kosowski, engineering president.  “Plus, we finally have a location that also gives us room to expand.  We look forward to being part of the Lynchburg community for years to come.”.

The new office is located at 5061 Fort Ave., Lynchburg, Va. 24502.   The well-known building has a long history; starting out as the Piggly Wiggly grocery store, followed by Babcock and Wilcox, then becoming home to General Electric for many years, and finally Ericsson.

Upon signing the lease TRAX immediately began renovations to bring the space aesthetically and technically up-to-date, including a robust data center.  The data center houses all the servers used to run the entire TRAX International corporate operations and supports all TRAX locations worldwide.

“Building our new corporate data center from the ground up has been the most rewarding project of my career.  TRAX is now positioned for rapid growth using the latest technologies to help extend our systems worldwide,” said Steve Justis, TRAX International CIO.

TRAX currently occupies 42,000 sq. ft. of the 54,000 sq. ft. facility, which is more than double the square footage of all the previous locations combined.  The additional space is available as the company continues to expand.

George Doby, simulator systems president, exclaims “The move has given us the room we need to grow, as well as top notch testing and training facilities.  We’re looking forward to making this our new home.”
TRAX International has over 1,700 employees at more than 18 locations around the world.  TRAX, an ESOP company, is a leader in providing test range services, facilities and operational support, engineering and other technical services to commercial, industrial and government customers.
