Operations & Maintenance Services
TRAX provides a wide range of instrumentation operational support and maintenance. Our customers have the advantage of our vast range resources and technology, and our understanding of range issues at the highest level of our corporate leadership.
Range Scheduling, Control & Communications
TRAX's personnel are experienced in the details of Range Scheduling; ensuring that operational requirements are met, and conflicts are avoided.
Our mission support staff is skilled in vectoring aircraft in accordance with pre-flight briefings. Our team ensures the proper instrumentation for best coverage, provides mission coordination, data recording, and the development and implementation of range control systems.
TRAX's team of communication specialists provide a full-spectrum of range communications services including wireless telephony and geographical information systems. Our personnel have been trained and certified in fiber optic splicing and repair operations - resulting in enhanced reliability of service and improved documentation of installations.
Telemetry & Range Timing
TRAX provides full-service telemetry support including the installation, operation and maintenance of telemetry receivers and all related equipment. In addition, our skilled personnel provides Air Delivery and Munitions and Weapons test support for range customers.
Our Range Timing section provides full-function operation and maintenance of fixed master timing and timing distribution stations, GPS receivers, amplifiers, and time code generators throughout test ranges across the U.S. Our technicians operate and maintain off-range and aircraft instrumentation timing synchronization vans, and several custom-built Range Time Receivers to support individual tests.
Radar & Ballistics
Our Radar and Ballistics section provides full-service support of range testing, including a collection of ballistic trajectory Time, Space & Positioning Information (TSPI) data for weapons, munitions, and air delivery payloads. Our skilled technicians provide comprehensive radar maintenance and support upgrade modifications including servo, optics, receiver, and computer improvements.
Optics
TRAX's skilled personnel provide augmentation support for optical tracking systems such as KTMs, Slaved Target Arena Tracking System Mounts (STATS), Portable Tracking Mounts, and mobile vans. TRAX technicians have experience in mount refurbishment, resulting in increased range capability.
Our engineers invented a real-time, GPS-based tracking system with remote displays, allowing for individual and vehicles distinction, and post-processing accuracy. The system includes an easy, portable power configuration to support vehicle changes. This system provides us with the ability to precisely and economically test several detection systems, while recording live data at base stations.
Our Optical Measurements personnel, made up of qualified crew leaders and KTM operators, provide a variety of support functions for test platforms. In addition, TRAX provides photo-optical and television instrumentation personnel to support unusually demanding photo-optical imaging and video/thermal imaging in extreme environments. Our technicians provide laser spot and video scoring, high-speed and through-sight video, thermal imagery, fuse function times, time-of-flight data, guntube movement records, security video systems, documentary and airborne chase coverage, and thermal imagery.
TRAX's Electro-optical Maintenance section designs and fabricates a wide variety of prototype instrumentation solutions for our customers, including a mobile repair van to support field repairs.
Data Management & Test Coordination
Our programmers and analysts provide for the reduction of data collected by range instrumentation for scoring and analysis of munitions and weapons tests, tanks and automotive tests, aviation weapons, and soldier combat systems tests.
