Training Products and Services
To ensure that our simulators are used to their full potential, TRAX offers outstanding simulator training products and services, each dedicated to the training needs of industrial power plant operators. These programs have proven invaluable in improving operator efficiency in the plant.
An integrated training system, where knowledge and skills reinforce one another, is the basis upon which TRAX’s training programs are developed. We offer a variety of custom and standard training products and services, including training courses as well as the development of custom training curricula. Our simulator training programs are developed and delivered by professional trainers with extensive technical experience, most of whom are former power plant operators. With this strong operations background, the TRAX training staff is well qualified to address your operator training needs.
TRAX offers two types of Simulator Training Program (STP) curricula for instructors and students to use during simulator training and operator qualification. The STP can include self-study Teaching Assistant lessons, which students complete at their own pace without an instructor, and/or Instructor-Guided lessons, which require the presence of an instructor to coach and advise the operator. A combination of the two approaches has proven to be an effective way to reduce the burden on the training department without compromising training quality.
Training Program Curricula
Comprised of a series of lessons based on plant-specific operating scenarios, these curricula are designed to ensure that operators gain proficiency in the safe and efficient operation of the unit from the control room.
Teaching Assistant
The fully-integrated TRAX Teaching Assistant is a self-paced instructional tool that provides effective power plant training through a “virtual” instructor.
Operations Courses
Our Simulator Operations Training courses teach simulator instructors how to use the Instructor Station features for the most effective training.
