Test Services

As part of our support of the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, our people supply a range of services in the testing effort. From engineering expertise to munitions conditioning and everything in between, there's a reason we say, "Supporting the troops is our highest calling".

Test & Development Engineering

Members of our Test & Development Engineering group provide long-term professional engineering services related to electrical, electronic, optical, and mechanical engineering fields. These services are executed according to established procedures in support of test range instrumentation development activities. Our development engineers work closely with project engineers, researchers, and test crews to design test range instrumentation systems that will meet the demands of the testing environment.

Test Vehicle Operations

Our Test Vehicle Operations group does a lot more than just operate vehicles undergoing testing. While our skilled personnel operate a complete spectrum of transportation vehicles, material handling equipments, heavy equipment and equipment recovery vehicles, they also are equipped to handle a variety of military tools such as tents, field kitchens and generators, entrenching tools, etc.

Optical & Geodetic Instrumentation

The Optics group operates and maintains the Kineto Tracking Mounts, camera systems, and other imaging-gathering equipment used to track fast-moving objects during testing. Various cameras and imaging equipment record scientific data on test-related items. This imaging equipment documents events at various test sites to ensure high-quality and accurate visual and metric data has been recorded.

Our Video Data Reduction services involve extracting metric and time data to produce time history and motion data. The Geographical Information System (GIS) function requires all stages of service, from planning to installation, to provide digital mapping and terrain data for test users.

Munitions

Our Munitions group is responsible for all aspects of ammunition logistics, recovery, assembly plant support, conditioning chamber operations, and artillery testing. Our skilled personnel safely prepare ammunition for environmental testing, and ammunition recovery operations - include locating and detecting ordnance items for evaluation and disposal.

Electronics Group

The Electronics group provides operational support in several major functional areas, including Telemetry, Range Time, Radar, Ballistics, Automotive Instrumentation, Lasers, and Air Delivery systems. Our skilled personnel install data-capturing equipment on a variety of test platforms. They also operate and maintain RF transmitters, timing equipment and radar systems, including HAWK and Weibels.

Targets Group

The Targets Group operates and maintains stationary and moving targets, remote-control instrumentation, and signature simulation equipment. Our experienced staff also makes equipment repairs, and performs periodic inspections and preventative maintenance.

Maintenance Operations

The Maintenance Operations group provides maintenance support for the entire Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) fleet, including GSA passenger vehicles and trucks, material handling equipment, passenger busses, construction and earth-moving equipment, auxiliary power units, and other equipment. Work involves both scheduled maintenance, welding, and machine fabrication.
